Zoé Imber is a French artist and designer based in Normandy.

In 2016, Zoé moved to London, UK, where she co-founded the multidisciplinary design studio Homefolks with her partner. Alongside her collaborative work, Zoé has long nurtured a fascination with Nature—gathering unusual plant specimens and experimenting with drying techniques from an early age. Over time, this quiet practice evolved into a deep creative impulse to explore her own path.

In 2021, Zoé presented her first body of work, with botanical elements taking center stage. Her intricate compositions – made from pressed, bleached, and dried plants – echo the visual language of tapestry and plumasserie, revealing a delicate balance between design and natural poetry.

She returned to France in 2024, and settled in the picturesque Perche region. A new shared atelier – home to both her individual practice and the Homefolks studio – is currently in development and will open by appointment starting autumn 2025.

At once vibrant and tinged with melancholy, Imber’s works speak to the passage of time, capturing the beauty of impermanence.

“Cut flowers are the very expression of fragility and ephemerality. By pressing them, I indefinitely extend their life in a new cycle, allowing them to age and transform slowly over time and under the influence of the elements. My works will acquire unique chromatic variations, transparencies, and new textures.”
